Dare’s first magic book captured his imagination as a child. He quickly became fascinated with the world of trickery and entertainment. Before long, like a young Harry Potter, he was performing magic in school corridors and sought inspiration from the street magic guru of the time, David Blaine.

During school holidays, he spent his time busking and learnt the important skills of engaging the public and entertaining crowds at the drop of a hat – quite literally!

Dare pursued his interests in maths and science to study a degree in electronic engineering. After some time working as an engineer and performing magic in the UK, he decided to follow his childhood dream of travelling the world performing magic, and ended up in Australia.

He quickly picked up work as a magician at corporate events, trade shows, weddings and private parties throughout Australia.

He is now the resident magician at Sydney Opera Bar and has performed magic for the Australian rugby team – the Wallabies – and corporate clients such as Telstra, Qantas, McDonald’s and Westpac.

Dare is approachable and works with every client individually to ensure he meets their needs.
