Where to celebrate Melbourne Cup 2020

A LIST Guide Loves, Spotlight

Chill the Champagne and dust off your best party frock for the race that stops the nation.

While Melbourne Cup is certainly going to look different in 2020 (our thoughts are with you Melbourne!), there are still plenty of venues across the country gearing up for the race.

Corporate groups can still celebrate the annual event in a COVID-safe way, by booking a ticket to one of the many Melbourne Cup events taking place on 3 November 2020.

Here, we’re sharing some of the celebrations on offer for groups:

Pier One Sydney Harbour

Pier One Sydney Harbour will host The Maison Mumm Hotel “off track” for Melbourne Cup this year, bringing G.H.Mumm’s flagship celebration to Sydney.

The Admiral Suite Private Party or Harbour Balcony Suite Private Party includes a four-hour beverage package including G.H.Mumm Champagne and a “feature bath” filled with bottles of champagne or decadent desserts while the race action plays on flatscreen TVs. This exclusive experience is priced at $5,500 for 10 guests.

The Exclusive Harbourside Pier Booths are also available for hire for up to 10 guests ($1,000 minimum spend), while Cup Day Lunch at The Gantry is on offer for $250 per person.

Book your tickets here.

Employees Only

It’s all fun and frivolity at Employees Only‘s Melbourne Cup Luncheon, where groups will enjoy a decadent three-course lunch, bubbles, burlesque and the all-important race.

Upon arrival, guests will be treated to a flute of Ruinart while they settle into your seats where they’ll have a prime view of the races displayed on two large screens. Forget the crowds this is all about luxury and comfort.
