Sydney welcomes new event space, The Dress Circle

This sky-high event space is already turning heads in Sydney's CBD.

One of Sydney’s most iconic restaurants has undergone a series of changes to unveil the city’s only revolving event space, The Dress Circle.

Perched 47 floors above street level, the venue can be found inside Sydney’s famed revolving restaurant O Bar and Dining, boasting 360-degree views of the city, Sydney Harbour and beyond.

The Dress Circle is a flexible event space for private and semi-private bookings, accommodating up to 110 seated guests or 150 standing.

It also features an adjoining private lounge bar that can be used as a welcome drinks area or booked separately for smaller events of up to 40 guests.

O Bar and Dining events director Erin Rice said the space was created in response to increased customer demand and to fill “a clear gap in the market”.

“We found that our clientele was seeking a fine-dining experience that could cater for larger numbers and where quality, care and attention to detail was not compromised,” she said.

“This is what led us to create The Dress Circle.”

Conceptualised by owner and chef Michael Moore, the space features a luxurious look, complete with velvet textures, plush seating and golden metallic hues.

Floor-to-ceiling windows ensure every guest can take in the view, as the venue completes a subtle, full rotation every 90 minutes.

The menu offers a contemporary take on fine dining, drawing inspiration from Moore’s healthy eating philosophy.

“A lot of love, care and consideration has gone into every touch point when creating the space,” says Rice.

“We also wanted to create a luxurious, exclusive and flexible space that could be customised for our clientele and their needs.”

The event space is already gaining interest for corporate dinners, product launches and breakfast conferencing.

“Now that Sydney’s CBD is coming back to life, we’ve noticed a big return of our corporate customers booking The Dress Circle for Christmas events and team away days, along with an influx of weddings and social bookings,” said Rice.
