AIME confirms more than 300 hosted buyers

AIME 2022 is gearing up to spearhead the recovery of business events with more than 300 hosted buyers and more than 200 Australian and international exhibitors confirmed. Read more here.

Applications open for Rockhampton famil

Applications have opened for expressions of interest for the Rockhampton business events famil, taking place 2 – 5 June 2022.

Limited to just seven lucky attendees, the famil will showcase Rockhampton’s diverse and unique conference facilities, authentic experiences and award-winning accommodation, touring venues such as Rockhampton Museum of Art, Pilbeam Theatre and Rockhampton Showgrounds.

Attendees will also experience a sunset river cruise, tour Capricorn Caves, meet meerkats at Rockhampton Zoo, indulge in an ‘All Stars Dinner’ showcasing three of the region’s top catering and styling companies, attend a Pop Up Polo event, and more.

Applications close COB Friday 11 March.

Hilton Surfers Paradise celebrates success

The five-star hotel has been named Best Redeveloped Hotel at the 2021 Australian Hotels Association (AHA) National Awards for Excellence, in recognition of its $9 million makeover. Read more here.

New MICE mag for Cairns & TNQ

Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns has launched a new 40-page MICE magazine, showcasing Cairns and Tropical North Queensland as a desirable destination for business events.

Printed on recycled paper, Event by Shangri-La magazine is funded by Tourism Australia’s Business Events Boost Program and offers plenty of inspiration and information for events planners looking to hold their business events and incentive programs in the region.

Readers can expect stories on both Cairns and TNQ, covering day-trip destinations and a profile on the Master Reef Guides programs, as well as a Q&A with Tourism Australia’s Robin Mack on the Event Here This Year campaign in 2022.

Consumer travel show coming to Australia

Expertise Events has confirmed The Holiday and Travel Show will be coming to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne later this year. Read more here.
