Melbourne is getting its first Courtyard by Marriott hotel next month

Opening March 2022, the new-build Courtyard by Marriott Melbourne Flagstaff Gardens will have 150 guest rooms and flexible event spaces complete with the latest in audio-visual equipment. Amongst the offering of unique spaces is an expansive rooftop entertaining area with sweeping city views, ideal for corporate and social gatherings.

Located in Batman Street and adjacent to leafy Flagstaff Gardens, the four-star property is within easy access to the city’s sporting, dining, shopping, arts and cultural attractions, including Queen Victoria Market, Marvel Stadium, and Southern Cross Station.

The opening will mark the third Courtyard by Marriott in the country, joining sister properties in Brisbane and Sydney.

New Travelodge boasts biggest business events space outside Sydney CBD

TFE Hotels has opened its brand spanking new Travelodge Hotel Hurstville in Sydney’s southwest.

Designed for both business and leisure guests, it offers the largest corporate function space outside of the CBD, catering for up to 800 guests. It can also be divided into three separate meetings and events spaces.

Located just 20 minutes by fast train from the city, the 124-room hotel also features a rooftop bar and restaurant with sprawling views and a ground floor grab ‘n’ go food option.

Save the date for MEA

Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) will hold its 2022 annual conference, Evolve, on 29 and 30 June this year, at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins.

While registrations and event program will be released in the coming weeks, MEA has announced the date now so you have plenty of time to plan ahead.
