After a gruelling two years, travel is finally back on the agenda and it’s time to get excited once again about planning that long overdue overseas holiday.
The first dedicated consumer travel exhibition since the pandemic began is about to hit Australia, with The Holiday and Travel Show by Expertise Events confirmed for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne later this year.
Featuring exhibitors from all areas of travel from Australia and around the world, the travel show will inform, inspire and excite attendees about their next, long-awaited adventure, with a smorgasbord of cruises, hotels, tourism bodies, tours, and more to choose from.
While the pandemic has caused huge drops in outbound international travel and hit local tourism hard by a lack of international visitors, Expertise Events managing director Gary Fitz-Roy said recent consumer research suggests that international travel rates will be back to normal by 2023.
“The events and exhibitions industry has been hit very hard by the pandemic as well, but we’re ready to bounce back,” Fitz-Roy said.
“We want to help other industries who have been hit hard, like travel and tourism, by offering a platform to reignite their businesses as well as reconnect with both the public as well as their fellow industry colleagues.”
The Holiday and Travel Show events will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Entertainment Centre on 22-23 October, at Sydney Showground on 29-30 October, and at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre on the 5-6 November. Visitor entry will be free.
