Iconic Sydney venue Tea Room QVB was transformed for a luxury Italian-inspired VIP event to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Bulgari in Australia.
An exceptional evening of celebrations, full of warmth, glamour and surprises, inspired by the Tuscan sun, brimming with Roman hospitality and at all times, unapologetically Italian.
With an event brief of unapologetically Italian, the Tea Room QVB was the perfect venue host for the Bulgari Sydney Boutique Launch, being one of the city’s most elegant ballrooms, with soaring decorative ceilings and a timeless European design.
The venue boasts luxury features including custom-designed Baccarat crystal chandeliers, hand printed Florence Broadhurst wallpaper with fine antique mirrors adorning the walls. The expansive room with soaring ceilings ensured event planners and stylists could setup long continual dining tables, which acted as catwalks for the models to showcase the stunning Bulgari jewellery.
Working with Italian chef Alessandro Pavoni, The Tea Room QVB kitchen team was able to deliver a delectable Italian feast, which showcased the team’s refined culinary skills.
Event Planet meticulously designed, planned and executed a dual venue evening for the VIP guests of Bulgari, to relaunch their much anticipated flagship boutique in Sydney and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Bulgari in Australia.
The evening commenced at the magnificently renovated Bulgari boutique, before private cars whisked guests away to the second stage of the evening: a celebratory dinner in one of Sydney’s most iconic heritage landmarks – the Queen Victoria Building.
The grand interior of The Tea Room QVB was transformed with thematic lighting, striking florals and two elegant banquet tables running the length of the room. To the surprise and delight of guests, the tables were also adorned with dancers who showcased select Bulgari pieces and engaged with guests in the lead up to a choreographed ‘moment’ when they descended from the tables just before entrée was served.
Renowned chef Alessandro Pavoni created a superb menu which culminated in a theatrical service of dessert, adding a bit of Italy to the evening. To encourage guests out of their seats to mix and mingle at the end of the night, dessert was announced and an accordion player led the service of dessert into the room.
Waiters followed behind carrying tiered stands of sfogliatelle and cannoli, bearing trays of tiramisu and wheeling trolleys of Limoncello. The dancers joined in adding to the lively street fair atmosphere and as a finale the Bulgari gelato cart was wheeled into positioned serving ice cream cones.
