Arna Wahl Davies has been appointed as the new PCO Association (PCOA) councillor for New Zealand.
Wahl Davies is co-founder and director of Composition, which manages mid- to large-size conferences throughout New Zealand and brings to the role more than 20 years of experience in event management.
Early in her career, after gaining professional qualifications, she became a chef, working in international hotels and then moved into event management.
Wahl Davies was recently appointed chair of the Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Approved Professional Conference Organisers Group.
After her first PCOA Councillors meeting, Wahl Davies Arna said she was impressed with the “collaborative nature in which the councillors share and work together”.
“The PCOA provides a sense of belonging and community to members, while offering genuine support really shines through with the association.
“The councillors’ continued communication, webinars and owners/directors Zoom catch ups are providing real value to members during these challenging times.”
PCOA president Barry Neame welcomed Wahl Davies and said she will be “an active part of strengthening our existing relationship” with CINZ.
“The relationship between PCOA and CINZ over the years has been beneficial for the business events industry on both sides of the Tasman,” he said.
PCOA extends thanks to the previous NZ councillor Ali Copeman for her valued contribution over the past three years.
